SIMBIOTIC T-SHIRTS

Briefing:
The project's distinctive signs would be on the one hand, that the T-shirts would be made of recycled cotton and on the other hand, the fact that when buying the T-shirt, the added cost would be an exchange - any kind of T-shirt would be accepted.

These last T-shirts would be given to people in needy places: underdeveloped countries, etc. Therefore, a dynamics of ecological "reforestation" would be created. We had to create the print. The name was Ecoshirts. A simbiotic workflow with ESADE University.
Collaboration with: Emma Gallego, Ingrid Claussen & Carolina Vargas

Result:
The first we considered was to change the naming. Today, any ecologist knows "eco" is nothing but a commercial trick added to names of products to be sold under false pretences. Thinking about this matter, we found the perfect concept for the whole process: symbiosis. "Symbiotic T-Shirts" came up.

Following this concept, we created a picture based on a symbiotic relationship, that of birds which take bugs and ticks off zebras and then a sentence was inserted to make a more intense effect. The sentence was "Life did not take over the globe by combat but by networking".

Not only did we the naming, branding and designing of the shirt, but also decided afterwards to create the label which would be made of recycled card with an explanation of the concept on it. Later, even a poster was created as an advertisement of the date and place where the T-shirts would be sold.
