3D motion pieces created for Nike’s .SWOOSH platform as part of the launch campaign for the “Our Force 1” collection.
Client: Nike / Territory Studio
Scope: 3D Design, Motion, Look Finalization
Focus: Large-Format Readability, Motion Continuity, Visual Integration
Developed by Territory Studio, the campaign introduced a series of digital-out-of-home visuals exploring virtual goods, digital identity, and next-generation community experiences through large-scale 3D motion systems designed for anamorphic screens, social platforms, and online campaign placements.
The work combined sculptural product rendering, volumetric lighting, motion-driven transitions, and cinematic camera language within a fast-moving production pipeline where visual consistency and large-format readability were critical.
Production Approach
The work focused on six separate 3D moments developed as part of the broader campaign rollout.
Several assets entered production in partially developed or exploratory stages, requiring additional look development and technical refinement before animation could begin. Models, shading, lighting, and scene behavior needed to be resolved quickly so the sequences could move cleanly into production while remaining consistent with Territory Studio’s broader visual direction for the campaign.
Because the pieces were designed for large-format digital-out-of-home environments, motion clarity and silhouette readability became central design considerations. Camera movement, pacing, lighting transitions, and transformation behavior all needed to retain impact at scale without overwhelming the composition.
Particular attention was given to maintaining continuity across multiple deliverables produced simultaneously within a compressed production schedule.
Creative Approach
The direction leaned toward controlled energy rather than excessive visual complexity.
Lighting and camera behavior were used structurally throughout the sequences, shaping reveals, transitions, and motion rhythm while emphasizing the sculptural qualities of the Nike forms and environments.
For anamorphic and large-scale display formats, pacing and framing were carefully adjusted so the motion retained clarity and dimensional impact from a distance while still integrating naturally into the broader campaign language developed by Territory Studio.
Rather than treating each piece as an isolated visual moment, the goal was to preserve a coherent motion system across the campaign while allowing individual sequences to maintain their own rhythm and visual identity.
Outcome
The final sequences became part of Nike’s broader .SWOOSH launch campaign across digital-out-of-home installations, social platforms, and online placements.
By resolving key visual and technical decisions early, the work integrated cleanly into the wider production rollout while maintaining consistency across multiple formats and screen environments.
